The agricultural community offers a wide variety of scholarships and forgiveness programs to those interested in higher education and agricultural careers. American Soybean Association
Children or grandchildren of members may be eligible for a $5,000 scholarship.
Penn Ag Industries
Has given over $80,000 worth of scholarships to children of industry employees
since 1991.
Pennsylvania Cattlemen's Association
Members may qualify for their scholarship funds.
Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency
All Pennsylvania students seeking higher education should visit the PHEAA site
to research financial aid opportunities.
PHEAA Loans Forgiven
Former veterinary students working with agricultural animals or those college
graduates who returned to work on a family farm or family farm corporation may
qualify to have their PHEAA loans forgiven.
The 4-H Youth Scholarship
Scholarship form can be downloaded from their site. Eligibility
requirements include membership in a 4-H club.
The Dr. James W. Sinden Scholarship Fund
In the Study of Commercially Cultivated Edible Fungi offers graduate
student aid.
The Garden Club Federation of Pennsylvania
Gives ten scholarships of at least $1000 each year to high school and college
students planning to major in horticulture, floriculture, landscape
architecture, conservation, forestry, botany, agronomy, plant pathology,
environmental control, city planning, land management and/or allied subjects.
The Japanese American Citizens' League (JACL)
Awards students of Asian descent and members of the JACL scholarships to study
agriculture.
The National Association of Agricultural Educators
Offers two scholarships, ten $1,000 awards for agriculture students in their
senior year of high school who have participated in a Florida Citrus fund raiser
and do intend to become an agriculture teacher and ten $500 awards for college
juniors, seniors, and post baccalaureate students majoring in agricultural
education and also intending to become agricultural teachers.
The National FFA Organization
Offers millions of dollars worth of scholarships funds to members annually.
Eligibility requirements include FFA membership.
The Pennsylvania Association of Agricultural Educators
Offers scholarships each year to high school seniors from agricultural education
departments seeking to further their education in agriculture.

The Careers in Agriculture scholarship program sponsored by Agriliance and
Croplan Genetics annually awards $1,000 scholarships to 20 high school seniors
interested in agriculture-related studies.
American Association of Agricultural and Biological Engineers Foundation
Scholarships granted to promising students enrolled in agricultural or
biological engineering programs.
American Agri-Women
$500 scholarships to farm, ranch and agribusiness women or their daughters.
Scholarship funds may be used for accredited courses in agricultural leadership,
communications, rural sociology, medicine, or other courses directly related to
agriculture.
American Association of Equine Practitioners
$1000 awards investing in the future of the equine veterinary profession.
American Legion Auxiliary Scholarship
Scholarships are awarded to children of veterans who served in the Armed Forces
during the eligibility dates for The American Legion. One $2,500 scholarship and
one $2,000 scholarship will be awarded in each Division. The applicant must
complete fifty (50) hours of community service during his/her high school years
to be eligible for one of these scholarships.

Institute of Food Technologies Scholarship Program
Scholarship program to attract and encourage outstanding students to enter the

be enrolled or planning to enroll in an IFT-approved food science/technology
program.
John Deere
The Construction & Forestry Technology Program is a partnership between John
Deere Construction & Forestry, participating John Deere dealerships and local
colleges.
Joseph Shinoda Memorial Foundation Floriculture Scholarship
Awarded to deserving students preparing for careers in commercial floriculture.
Keystone International Livestock Exposition Beef Scholarship
The KILE Beef Committee is offering two scholarships to college students, one
for $1,000 and one for $500. Applications must be postmarked by June 1 and sent

National Association of Farm Broadcasters Scholarship
Awarded to students actively interested in becoming agricultural broadcasters.
National Honor Roll (NHR)
National Honor Roll was developed to give recognition to high school and middle
school students who have attained outstanding academic success and to provide
customized service as they apply to college. NHR is a sponsor of the FFA
Collegiate Scholarship program. In addition, NHR has other scholarship
