Adopt-a-Classroom Grants
Teachers who register at the Adopt-A-Classroom web site can be adopted by an individual, a business, or a foundation. Once adopted, teachers will receive $500 worth of credit to purchase items that enrich the learning environment.

Agriculture and Rural Youth Grant

Allstate Foundation Grant
The Allstate Foundation provides grants to nonprofit organizations to support projects and programs related to tolerance, diversity and inclusion; safe and vital communities; and economic empowerment. Tolerance, inclusion and diversity requests focus on teaching tolerance to youth, alleviating discrimination, and/or reducing hate crimes. Safe and vital communities requests focus on catastrophe response and mitigation, school anti-violence, and/or revitalization of communities. Economic empowerment requests focus on financial and insurance education, economic literacy, and/or entrepreneurial/small business skill development initiatives for women.

American Honda Association
American Honda Association grants are offered for nonprofits, including schools, for projects that encourage innovative educational methods and techniques. Eligible projects focus on math, science, the environment and technology.

American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics Foundation
Eligibility: K-12 Amount: up to $1000
The AIAA Foundation has established a Classroom Grant program specifically for use by AIAA Educator Associates. If you are a K-12 teacher interested in the development or application of science, mathematics, and technology within your educational curriculum, you may qualify for a grant of up to $200 per individual request to supplement your learning program. Each school is limited to up to $1,000 per calendar year.

Use your grant for classroom demonstration kits, classroom science supplies, or other materials to enhance the teaching-and learning-of science, mathematics, and related technology. Requests are due 9 weeks before the planned purchase date.

The AT&T Foundation supports organizations and programs that enrich and strengthen diverse communities across the United States, with an emphasis on improving education, addressing vital community needs and enhancing unique cultural assets.

The AT&T Foundation funds programs designed to: Increase access to technology tools and resources. Broaden technology training and professional skills development. Reach and empower disadvantaged or underserved communities.

Bank of America Foundation
The Bank of America Foundation places special emphasis on providing educational opportunities for young children so they will be ready to learn and achieve when they begin school. However, they do not consider funding requests from K-12 schools, so you will have to partner with a non-profit organization in order to receive funds.
Barnes and Noble Contact: Submit proposals to the community relations manager or store manager at your local Barnes and Noble store.
Barnes and Noble supports local and regional nonprofit organizations (which can include schools) in the communities where its stores are located. Support goes to organizations focused on literacy, the arts, or K-12 education.

Best Buy and the Best Buy Children's Foundation are proud to support schools using technology to make learning fun. The te@ch program will provide a $2,500 Best Buy Gift Card to schools in recognition of programs or projects that creatively integrate interactive technology into the curriculum. This year $3,000,000 will be awarded nationwide to 1,200 schools located within 25 miles of a Best Buy store.

EDS Technology Grant Program

The EDS Technology Grant Program helps teachers of children ages 6 through 18 purchase information technology products and services that will improve their students' ability to learn. Each year, EDS offices worldwide sponsor and award $1,500 grants to teachers through a competitive application process. The grants are awarded to teachers through their schools, and schools applying for a grant must be located within 50 miles of a sponsoring EDS account.

Education Foundation of America Grant
Education Foundation of America grants are offered in the areas of arts, education, health, and human services and the environment. Education World “Grants for Educators” Program Grant

NCTM Connecting Mathematics to Other Subject Areas grant

Amount: up to $3,000
The purpose of this grant is to create senior high classroom materials or lessons connecting mathematics to other fields. For 2008-2009, grants with a maximum of $3,000 each will be awarded to persons currently teaching mathematics in grades 9-12. Materials may be in the form of books, visual displays, computer programs or displays, slide shows, videotapes, or other appropriate medium. The focus of these materials should be on showing the connectivity of mathematics to other fields or to the world around us. Any acquisition of equipment must support the proposed plan but not be the primary focus of the grant. Any published sources must be documented. Proposals must address the following: the plan for developing and evaluating materials, the connectivity to other fields or disciplines, and anticipated impact on students' learning.

The applicant must be a current member of NCTM and currently teach mathematics in grades 9-12 at least 50 percent of the school day. Activities are to be completed between June 1, 2008, and May 31, 2009. No person(s) may receive more than one award administered by the Mathematics Education Trust in the same academic year. Past recipients of this grant are not eligible to reapply.

The Outdoor Classroom Grant Program provides outdoor, hands-on science education to students in grades K-12 and assists schools in enhancing their core curriculum in all subjects.

This school year, the program will award grants up to $2,000 to at least
100 public schools. In some cases, grants for up to $20,000 may be
awarded to schools or school districts with major outdoor classroom
projects. The grants can be used to build a new outdoor classroom or to
enhance a current outdoor classroom at the school. This program only
considers outdoor classroom proposals.

Pennsylvania Ag in the Classroom Teacher Workshops
The Ag in the Classroom Teacher Workshop is an instructional week-long program developed for teachers of elementary and secondary schools to teach children about agriculture and the role it plays in their daily lives. Conducted once a year, the workshop requires monetary sponsorship, provides teachers with resource materials, lesson planning and hands-on experiences.

Pew Charitable Trust is a national philanthropy, but they maintain a strong commitment to the Philadelphia, PA area. A partnership between Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A. , Inc. and the National Science Teachers Association, the Toyota TAPESTRY Grants for Science Teachers program offers grants to K-12 science teachers for innovative projects that enhance science education in the school and/or school district. 50 large grants and a minimum of 20 mini-grants, totaling $550,000 in all, will be awarded this year. To apply for funding, qualified teachers must write a Toyota TAPESTRY proposal according to the proposal requirements.
